Hot Soba in Homemade Soy Broth 日式荞麦面 (酱油热汤面)

boy likes Japanese food..sushi, hand roll, ramen, soba, udon almost everything except sashimi that I never let him eat. :) I had came across many Japanese food recipes and when I found this soy broth recipe, I was hesitate whether to try or not to try... There are only 3 ingredients to make the broth... garlic, ginger slices and soy sauce that gives the heavenly flavor to the soba. You don't need to use any ready-made broth for this simple and healthy hot soba.

To me, cooking hot soba is as easy as instant noodles. No special skills required. Just boil everything. I like to add some pork belly slices and vegetables to pair with the hot soba. Nutritious and delicious!

The recipe below is the basic soy broth preparation method. You can top with anything as desired.

This is my kiddy version hot soba...Hmm...it's perfect to pair with the Berkshire Pork Belly and spinach, but don't add Japanese Bean Curd, the taste doesn't 'Match'. :)

Bought a handy sesame grinder for my little boy to add toppings on his rice and noodles. He likes this NEW TOY a lot...can't get enough of toasted sesame! lol...
