Slow Cooker Italian Pork Stew Recipe



I love slow cooked stews especially when the harvest of fresh vegetables hits the markets. I throw just about everything I can into my stew and after a long hard hot day in the summer this really does hit the spot. Of course in winter months I end up using some frozen or canned sometimes but I just love sopping up my Italian bread in this amazing pot of stew!



Slow Cooker Italian Pork Stew Recipe

6 boneless thick pork chops cut into small pieces around 3 pounds
4 cubed potatoes
3 zucchini cut
3 plum tomatoes cubed
1 cup peas
1 cup sliced or finger carrots
1 stalk celery
1 pound fresh mushrooms
1 pound green beans cut
1 can crushed tomatoes
2 sliced bell peppers
1 teaspoon each Italian seasoning, granulated garlic, salt, pepper
cayenne pepper is optional to taste
1 28 ounces can crushed tomatoes adding 1/2 cup Cabernet wine to the can to  rinse out the rest

Dump everything into your slow cooker stirring to evenly coat. Slow cook on high 6 to 8 hours or low for 8 to 10 hours.
