Corn Bacon Chowder Recipe


A very delicious soup that is made with a few ingredients and quickly. Serve with some corn bread it goes great with this soup! Enjoy!  I make this often when I have too much milk in the refrigerator. It's a great way to use it up.

Corn Bacon Chowder Recipe

3 or 4 small finger carrots 
1 stalk celery
4 small cubed potatoes
1 1/2 cups of fresh or canned corn
2 1/2 cups heavy cream or whole milk
3 tablespoons whipped cream cheese
4 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
salt, pepper to taste and cayenne pepper
1 12 ounce can chicken brown
1/4 cup chopped cooked bacon

Put the celery and carrots in a food processor and pulse until fine.
In a 4 to 5 quart saucepan add the cream cheese, butter, corn, chicken broth, milk or heavy cream,  garlic, salt, pepper, vegetables and bacon.
Simmer until the potatoes are soft around 35 to 40 minutes on low.
