Easy cooking: Microwave Oyakodon, Chicken and egg rice bowl (親子丼)
I had a cold for 2 days, and I think it's boring to sleep all day and doing nothing.
Like I always say I don't like to stay still haha, spending my day in bed is not my choice. So, when I feel better, the first thing is getting into the kitchen. I have to eat something delicious, but I don't want to push myself too much, making something easy will be great (or you can say that I always love easy cooking ^^).
For this recipe you need only 7 minutes, and you get delicious and hearty meal. If you're very hungry this recipe is for 1 person, but if not it can serve 2 people. Put the cooked rice in a bowl while you cook the chicken, I can't tell you how many minutes you need for cooking the egg, it depends on how you like it ^^.
1 ................................... Chicken tight without bone, cut into pieces (about 100-130g)
2 .................................... Eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 ................................ Onion, finely sliced
1/2tsp ........................... Vegetable oil
Seasoning
1tbsp ............................ Mirin
1tbsp ............................ Shoyu (Japanese soy sauce)
1tbsp ............................ Sake
1/2tsp ........................ Dashi stock powder
2tbsp ............................ Water
For serving
...................................... Cooked rice
Put the sliced onion in a microwavable bowl with vegetable oil, heat in the microwave for 2 minutes (600w).
Put all the seasoning and chicken pieces into the bowl, then heat in the microwave for 3 minutes (600w).
Pour the lightly beaten egg into the bowl, heat in the microwave for 1-1.30 minutes (depend on how you like your egg ^^, start with 1 minutes then heat for 10 seconds each, until the egg cook to the stage that you like).
Pour into the rice bowl, serve immediately.
