Lamb Stew Recipe and Fans of Game of Thrones
Lamb stew is one of my favorites and we all love the series Game of Thrones.
What's that have to do with Game of Thrones? The foods they eat in that fantasy series is awesome looking.
Their foods consist of varieties of mutton (sheep) stews, goat, wild boar, many fruits like honey melons, pomegranates, plums.
We watch that series religiously every Sunday on HBO and this week I made this lamb stew to feel a little more like that fantasy made up time period.
The series is addicting and our whole family is huge fans of Game of Thrones.
Of course, the series is coming to an end and has been so much just fun, it's such great family time.
The family also loves lamb and coming up with new ideas for me like this one.
This recipe just may be the one we have just about every week until the end of this final season.
Lamb Makes A Great Stew
I love lamb pretty much any way it's cooked, as long as it's tender.
This stew is fork tender and perfect every time.
Growing up my mom made lamb stew often and I was always happy with its unique flavor over any other meats she ever made and it was so delicious.
Now I make it often, especially on cooler nights and winter.
Right now it's dedicated to our favorite series and family night.

It's been two years since the last season!
We look forward to it every week and try to recreate foods that seem to fit that fantasy time period created.
It's always sad to see a favorite series end.
We also are big fans of Sopranos and that was a total Italian food story.
We loved to cook all Italian foods when that series was still on also.
It sure was a sad day when we heard the passing of James Gandolfini, who was an amazing actor gone too soon that played Tony Soprano.
Sunday was is our Funday and back then we ate a whole lot of pasta!
Comfort Food and the Last Season
Since this is the last season of the Game of Thrones, I plan on making foods similar to what the series had.
Lamb is one of our all-time favorite meats, and this stew is easy and delicious.
We sure will miss this great series but have certainly enjoyed every episode.
