Chocolate Pudding Cookie Trifle Recipe
I make this dessert often alternating and experimenting with different toppings for example using your favorites cookies, candy bars and fruits. This can be made and served immediately or ahead of time and tailored to however you like it. Use vanilla, chocolate or even spice cake with apples in it is delicious!
Chocolate Pudding Cookie Trifle Recipe
Store bought or homemade chocolate bundt cake any kind you like vanilla, spice whatever!
Store bought chocolate pudding I use two per layer or use vanilla
Chocolate filled cookies like #Oreos, any kind around 8 crushed for the top (I used peanut butter filled) you can use any kind of cookie you like
Hot fudge sauce
Whipped topping
Optional: you can add bananas sliced in the layers or sliced strawberries with the chocolate trifle or see more options below.
Coconut Cream Cake: Vanilla cake, Coconut, vanilla pudding or coconut cream pudding and pineapple.
Cinnamon Apple Cake: Spice cake, apples, vanilla pudding and caramel topping.
Banana Cream Cake: Yellow Cake, vanilla or banana cream pudding use layers of sliced bananas, whipped topping and golden crushed cookies on top with ice cream topping caramel flavored.
Just get creative!
In a trifle bowl, add thin slices of cake on the bottom, spread with pudding, a layer of whipped topping. Repeat until you get to the top of your bowl ending with whipped topping. Add crushed oreo cookies then drizzle with hot fudge sauce. This can be served immediately or refrigerated until ready to serve your family and friends.
