Chocolate Pumpkin Spice Bars

These bars are super soft, moist, and full of robust pumpkin flavor.

They’re dense like a blondie rather than cakey.

They’re like biting into a piece of rich pumpkin fudge.

It’s an easy no-mixer, a one-bowl recipe that takes just minutes to whisk together.

There’s plenty of pumpkin pie spice and using a cake mix loads chocolate flavor in every bite.

I used the fresh pumpkin puree that I had from last year in the freezer.

Thawed it out to add to this cake mix and got the moistest most delicious bar ever!

This is a great dessert, cake, and chocolate heaven bar cookie! I never dreamed that pumpkin and chocolate would be so heavenly in one bar!

The pumpkin keeps everything deliciously moist!

Pumpkin really is a great ingredient for cakes, brownies, and most fillings. The moistness that it brings to all desserts is just decadent, as these brownie bars are.

I never dream a cake mix could mask the real deal. These bars will surprise everyone.

They will think you made them from scratch. No way to tell I promise.

Have You Ever Thought About Pumpkin and Chocolate together?

They are rich in flavor. I love to use applesauce in most recipes for moisture.

This does about the same except the taste is so much better.

Who would have thought chocolate and pumpkin?

Not me, I didn't believe it until I tried these.

Frosting or no Frosting?

I suppose they would be good with a little frosting instead of powdered sugar, but I am not of fan of that sugary sweetness of the frosting.

I like the simple powdered sugar on top. Also during the holiday looks more festive. I like the snowy effect.

I am going to also experiment with a yellow cake mix and use some cinnamon in it to see how those come out or even a spice cake mix.

This is so versatile and easy I am sure all of them will come out great.

If you long sugar-sweet bars and love cream cheese frosting, drizzle some cream cheese frosting on top, then add some chocolate melted for added sweetness.

Next time you're trying to use up pumpkin look no further. Try this recipe out. You will be pleased with the results and they won't last long.

They are now on the make it every year list!

Be sure to give them a try, these will be the easiest bars you will ever make!
