Easy Meat or Seafood Stir Fried Rice
There is nothing better than a side dish of stir-fried rice that everyone raves about.

I have been told time and time again that this is better than any rice in a restaurant.

I have had fried rice everywhere.
It doesn't have to be a complicated recipe. This one is super easy.
It can have everything and anything you love in it and super easy to make.
Asian flavors, egg, seafood, meat and whatever you like to go in it.
If you love it plain with no meat that's fine too.

I love mine with peppers with the chicken and shrimp, with pork I leave it with carrots and peas.
You can also add sliced mushrooms, and shredded vegetables like zucchini, onions, carrots, cabbage, broccoli or anything else you like.
I have two versions one with chicken and shrimp below and the other is leftover pork roast.
Whatever you have leftover in meats or steak goes great with this rice.
When taking to potlucks I leave it plain and let them add what they want off the grill.
This fried rice plain with just the egg in it is very good without any other additions.
It's the perfect side dish.
Get creative with whatever you order when at a restaurant, this will transform into your new favorite meal or side dish!
If you are going to add raw meats and seafood, stir fry them in garlic and olive oil until the meats and seafood are cooked through.
I prefer to cook any additions of seafood or meats in a separate pan first.
With the chicken and shrimp, I usually add bell peppers sliced and sometimes even broccoli as see in the photo and do the rice separately.
Snowpeas, shredded cabbage, water chestnuts, and shredded carrots go great as additions as well.

Easy Meat or Seafood Stir Fried Rice

This is a copycat of fried rice you would find in a Chinese restaurant, you can add whatever meats and vegetables you want, but this is delicious quick rice you will make time and time again it's just so easy!
ingredients:
- 3 cups instant rice cooked and drained or steamed regular rice cooked
- 2 cups leftover cooked and cubed meats, chicken, beef or add seafood like shrimp or a combination
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 cup frozen cubed peas and carrots mix
- Optional: any other pre-cooked vegetables, or fresh, zucchini, broccoli, shredded cabbage, snow peas or other vegetables you like
instructions:
How to cook Easy Meat or Seafood Stir Fried Rice
- If you are using raw meat, saute it first in olive oil and garlic or granulated garlic, adding around 3 tablespoons of soy sauce set aside when cooked.
- In a large fry pan melt butter. Add garlic and egg stir fry until completely cooked.
- Add rice saute until rice is browned around 10 minutes or more flipping rice to brown on both sides.
- Add the meat, and any vegetables using the mixture.
- Continue to cook until rice till soft and everything is heated and cooked how you prefer. Remove from heat.
- Mix the soy sauce and water together add to the pan and stir.
- Note: Any vegetables I used are pre-steamed and just folded in. Most of the time I use leftover cooked meats. Add more water if it gets dry, soy is too salty.
