copycat version of the pizookie, a kind of pizza cookie!
One of my favorite warm cookies out of the oven, are the macadamia nut cookie. Then they're topped with ice cream and hot fudge, over the top. The most decadent dessert I have ever eaten. It's fabulous! Pizooki is the hybrid term for pizza - cookie found in popular restaurants.

Have even ever heard of pizooki cookie sundaes, often referred to as pizza-cookies, this is my copycat version. It really has very little to do with pizza.
The restaurant came up with that name for a cookie topped with ice cream and it's warm. At least that's my take on it!

Whatever you want to call it, it's layers of delightful cookie and cream bites is over the top delicious!
It really is an easy and quick throw together dessert.
Whether you make the cookies from scratch or buy the refrigerated store bought to make them the dessert will be wildly delicious! This copycat dessert is perfect!
A Florida Chain Restaurant Dessert
I had my first pizooki at a local restaurant here in Florida.
I was hooked on that first warm bite of macadamia cookie and that delicious dark fudge topping over the ice cream, instantly.
It was just a small version of a large ice cream sundae with a warm macadamia cookie in it. What an amazing combinations of textures and flavors all in one bite!
Easy and Quick to Prepare
This is a great dessert to serve all summer long, even if you're not a baker. The cookies can be even store bought pre made and warmed if you're really pressed for time.
Or you can make a homemade batch and serve them right out of the oven. I have a really delicious macadamia nut cookie recipe below for you.
I often even made homemade ice cream to go with this. You can buy whatever flavor you like.
Homemade Ice Cream and Macadamia Cookies
I usually make my Amaretto Fudge swirled vanilla ice cream with caramel on it for this recipe.
Or you can even try my pumpkin ice cream around the Holiday.
You can even change this up with any cookie you prefer.

My First Pizooki Pizza Cookie
My first time I had Macadamia cookie ice cream sundae dessert was at a local Brewhouse here in Melbourne, Florida.
I am not really a dessert kind of gal. I try to watch my sugar intake, this dessert is the exception.
When I saw this pizookie on the menu, it looked and sounded great.
It happened to be free that day when you had your meal. I am so glad I didn't miss trying this.
When I took that first warm cookie bite with hot fudge and caramel swirl, I thought that Pizzooki was extraordinary. It wasn't like any dessert I had ever had before.
Coconut and Macadamia a perfect match!
When I went to Hawaii we had many desserts with coconut and macadamia nut including drinks but this dessert was now my favorite and I had to recreate it.
Lucky for me it's one the easiest desserts to put together.
Whether homemade macadamia cookies are made or the ice cream, it doesn't matter. The dessert is heavenly.
Your choices are easy or all homemade.
You can use any ice cream you love and store bought hot fudge sauce. I make a delicious Kahlua hot fudge recipe below.

Macadamia Cookie Recipe
prep time: 15 minscook time: 15 minstotal time: 30 mins
ingredients:
Macadamia Cookie Recipe:
1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup macadamia nuts coarsely chopped
1 cup white chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Garnish Caramel Swirl Chocolate Chunk Ice Cream
( or any store bought flavor you like)
Hot Fudge store bought or recipe below
instructions:
Butter ramekin dishes ( 6 oz size) for the amount of people your feeding using around 2 tablespoons per ramekin of cookie dough).
Cream together butter and sugar 3 minutes.
Add the egg, baking soda and blend together. Stir in flour. Fold in nuts and chips.
Put 2 tablespoons into each buttered ramekin. Bake for around 14 minutes or till middle is set but not browned.
While warm top with ice cream and hot fudge.
Serve immediately.
Kahlua Hot Fudge Sauce
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, chopped
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup water
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla
1 tablespoon of Kahlua ( I like to add a little more your by choice)
Or for kid friendly desserts 1 teaspoon pure vanilla
Combine condensed milk, chocolate and salt in top of double boiler over rapidly boiling water. Stir and cook until chocolate melts and mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in water, a little at a time, until sauce reaches desired consistency. Cool slightly and stir in vanilla add Kahlua. Serve over your favorite cake, ice cream, bread pudding or as a cheesecake topping.
